"The Outsiders" Book Cover Design
The book jacket of “The Outsiders” novel has had lots of displays in the past. The range of symbols became quite limited for this story, and I decided to follow this, but with different visual approach, showing on the cover the texture of jeans as a leading motif and smoke as metaphoric element of the story. I combined boys faces into the smoke; images from film, giving ambiguous visual meaning to the smoke involved into the title with reversed letters. The designing process was quite short, but effective considering limited time dedicated to this project.
